Let us focus on self-care

Mon Dec 04 2023|iDare Team

Only I knew how deep the wounds are,

For they can’t me measured, but felt harder,

Every time I realised I don’t hold a forever in my share;

I was happy in believing you were unlike others,

Your soberness always gave me a high.

Every time I had caffeine stained lips,instead of auburn lipstick

It reminded me of you.

The wind flipping blonde streaks off my face

was a synonym for having you fingers on my cheekbones.

My mind,so chaotic,saw itself burning in the ashtray,

That I never moved off my sight,

For I knew every time I had a jolt of emotions,

I had to place a burning obnoxious stick in between my lips,

For its aroma not to reach my lungs,but brain,

For me to stop feeling the wounds this deep until next time.
