Patriarchy truly benefits out of binaries, 

Gender – Male/female, 

Women – Good/bad.  

The good women become rapeable,  

Their rape – a national concern; 

The bad women “cannot be raped,”  

Their assaults everyday brushed and erased.  

 

The “good women” are honorable, 

Men treat them as trophies; 

“Bad women deserve no honor,” 

Their men get no trophies.  

 

Women amongst themselves too,  

Often don’t understand 

That this patriarchal game  

Let’s them have no stand.  

 

Patriarchy divides women 

Into “good/bad” 

To continue it’s existence, 

And remain unquestioned.  

 

Reflect before you label other women, 

Think of the privileges you enjoy, 

Life isn’t the same for all,  

No matter how much you deny.
